Double Standard WorldWe tend to break it down to,
minutes, days, years;
to lengthen the torture and
to slow our growing fears.

It’s hard not to notice; the
broken souls wandering alone,
smiles acting as masks, and
desperate bullies looking for home.

We seek for our belief in the wrong places;
in parties and nameless pills in bowls,
in greedy money and unfamiliar people,
when we should seek within our own soul.

We all give reasons and excuses but
when others splinter our hearts,
the forgiveness that we expect is lost,
and logic is quickly torn apart.

We live in a double standard world,
where what we expect of others
is not expected in ourselv

ConcentrateI concentrate on the wrenching pain in my arm
They whisper about me
I try to ignore it
They're glancing, switching glares

Paranoia strikes, wrenching my mind

Nerve-racking chatter
Fills my head, going insane

They laugh and giggle
I cover my ears
Until they finally leave
Leave me in my misery

I never stop asking "why?"
I guess it's quite annoying is it not
But dear me, if I didn't you'd complete your plot
This calmness is quite difficult to explain
I think I really am going insane
This case we're in is quite scary, it is
I guess I'll just try to stay and not miss
It's hard to keep at it when you feel very dead
When things are all just words that you've said
I don't understand how I should cope
I guess I can just pray and hope
Bravery is now growing very dim
It's getting quite tiring, I'm loosing all whim
Whatever may happen I feel I'm alone

People believe
they have all the time
in the world

an unlimited amount of time
when everything ends at one point

Recently, as my watchers will know my beloved horse Largo passed away due to a tragic accident inflicted by nothing. His life was cut short and the loss isn't going well in our family, He was my mothers horse and she is distraut.

I have decided as a gift I've commissioned somebody to draw all of my horses - Including Largo together to give to my mum in his memory. I've asked her to do a print, so that I can buy it and get it sent over for my mother. :heart:

My beloved horse Largo, unfortunately passed away,
We have to live without him, for yet another miserable day.
My mother and I have lost our very best friend,
We cradled him with tears until the end.

My Mother is devastated; it makes my heart ache,
I thought of an idea, when I was lying wide awake.
I've commissioned an artist, to draw my dear friend,
Hopefully the drawings will put her heart on mend.

Thankyou very much :hug: I really do wish he hadn't of left me, because I haven't coped which related to a serious poem I wrote. I'm actually a photographer but I get so much Joy from writing my feelings down into poems I can read to myself to get a smile. I love coming on here and discovering somebody has liked my work, Placed it in there favorite's because I don't feel alone, I believe that, that person feels the way I do! Its the most wonderful feeling ever!
